Hiking & Climbing

Pillerseetal Hiking Paradise

Alpine meadows, streams, mountain lakes – hiking in the Pillerseetal region is exceptional enjoyment. Fieberbrunn, Hochfilzen, St. Jakob in Haus, St. Ulrich am Pillersee, and Waidring - over 400 km of hiking paths with a full range of difficulty and plenty of variety for everyone, from parents pushing prams to alpinists exploring beyond the 2500 meter mark.

If you prefer something a bit more extreme, climbing is a great activity. At impressive elevations, the view of Tyrol's mountains has a special charm and beauty. Explore the "Himmel und Henne" for example. From easy via ferrata paths that even children can conquer without a problem, to challenges for even the most experienced mountaineers: for example, an assault on the Marokka which, at over 2,000 m above sea level, is nicknamed "the Matterhorn of the Kitzbühel Alps".

Leisurely family hikes and challenging via ferrata climbs

Do you love mountain lakes? Then a hike to the Wildseelodersee is perfect for you. From here, it only takes 45 min. to reach the summit of the Wildseeloder. Of course, there are numerous theme hikes to choose from as well.

The Hochhörndl panoramic trail leads from the Wildseeloderhaus via Seenieder to the Hochhörndlhütte. It is also known as "The Flower Path", especially since the edge of the path is adorned with many rare and protected alpine flowers. As you enjoy a well-deserved rest at one of the alpine huts, you can savor the breathtaking view along with delicious Tyrolean cuisine.
