Kitzbühel & Environs

The legendary Kitzbühel

When anyone talks about sensational sporting events, the conversation almost always includes Kitzbühel. The summer triathlon, the Hahnenkamm race, the Streif, the Kitzbühel Classic Cars Alpine Rally in May, the traditional Epiphany bonfire on January 6, the polo world cup, the ATP tennis tournament - the list is long and the possibilities practically infinite.

Kitz is a cult classic!

Considering that Kitzbühel has 8,300 residents and 6,000 guest beds, its fame as a hotspot for the chic and glamorous is easily explained. Toque-awarded restaurants, parties with a real Alpine flavor, fashion – this is a place where people know how to live right and love to celebrate.

In summer, the region boasts four golf courses and an excellent network of hiking trails. And in winter, there are 170 km of ski slopes, the Kitzbühel Advent and Christmas Market, and much more. The town of Kitzbühel has earned its legendary reputation for good reasons.

Kitzbühel's surroundings – Endless possibilities

The region around Kitzbühel has much to offer: In Reith, for example, the Aurach Wildlife Park and the Jochberg are wonderful excursion destinations. Numerous theme trails and 8 different running routes contribute to the variety. St. Johann is considered to be the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps. Night shopping with live music takes place here every Wednesday in summer. Friday is time for the weekly market in St. Johann accompanied by a summer concert series.
